Get Involved!

Now is the perfect time to get involved with the Academy! Email info@akapa.org if you are interested in joining the CME Committee, Membership Committee and/or Communications Committee!

CME Committee: develop content, recruit speakers and exhibitors, assist onsite during event.

Membership Committee: develop recruitment packets and promote the association to non-members.

Content & Communications Committee: develop newsletter and website content.

Important Dates

Board Nomination Deadline - September 30
Scholarship Application Deadline - December 1
PA of the Year deadline - accepting nominations year round.

Become a Board Member

The following positions will be open in 2023. If you are interested you can self nominate using the form below. We encourage you to participate at the committee level to get a feel for things.

President Elect: This is a three year commitment. The first year is as President Elect, the second year is as President and the third year is as Past President. The President Elect is board liaison to the membership committee and organizes and conducts the annual elections. Term expires December 31, 2025.
Two (2) Two Year Directors at Large: The Directors at Large are liaisons to the scholarship committee and continuing medical education committee. There is 1 Two Year Director at Large position open for nomination. Term expires December 31, 2024.
Jr. House of Delegates: This is a two year commitment. The first year is as Jr. House of Delegates representative and the second year is as the Sr. House of Delegates representative. Term expires December 31, 2024.
